I love this product to help balance out my hormones during (what I can only describe as severe) menopause symptoms. I take 2 pills with my meals 3 times a day. There are no hormones in this product.I read about maca, but the product seemed to be to pricy to try. I found it here in vitaminAisle and for [$] a 100 ct bottle of 500mg I had to try it. It really works!! I do also take a really good time released multivitamin and other supplements to support menopause symptoms also, but the NOW maca seems to have cleared my fuzzy mind, scattered thoughts, my energy levels have soared, and the other symptoms I suffered with (there were to many to mention) have virtually disappeared. I am doing so much more now than I was even a month ago, and it feels great to be getting my life back. Give it a week or two and find the amount that seems to work for you.I have researched this and it says to take 3000 to 5000 mg a day, I started out at about 1500 and kept adding mg until I found a level that really helped me. Through my research of maca they say there is no side effects, though if your on medication ask your doctor before taking it, just to make sure there wont be any conflicts or reactions. I am not on medication and found that there were no side effects for me. The only one I read about was possible insominia if you take to much in a day.Thank you VitaminAisle for having this product at a price I can afford. Menopause is hell, if your not sure of what the symptoms are...I wasnt, and they are many, google menopause symptoms. I had no idea there were so many, and maca has taken them away, not most of them...ALL OF THEM!!! My case was severe and maca has given me my life back, at a price I can afford.
