To assure optimal potency, aroma & flavor we blend Peppermint leaf extract with Peppermint essential oil. The leaves are harvested when the plants are starting to flower, are carefully shade-dried, and then promptly extracted. The essential oil is steam-distilled (solvents are never used) from the fresh (undried) flowering tops. Our Peppermint is never fumigated or irradiated.
